DENGUE:-TREATMENT

DENGUE TREATMENT

Although no specific anti-viral or injections can kill the virus,but supprotive care can be given

1. FEVER -can be treated by antipyretics .For eg.PARACETAMOL
2. PAIN in the bone can be treated by analgesics.

In the case of DENGUE HEMORRAGIC FEVER or DENGUE SHOCK SYNDROME patient should be hospitalised,bcoz in the absence of hospitalisation MORTALITY RATE IS 50%.

Intravenous fluid replacement is given to prevent shock.
